Gradual Track Classes for Water Survival
Before a swimmer hops on the Swim Express Train to travel to the different stations, they need basic water survival skills!
Gradual Track Swim Classes are available year-round, following the demand of the community. They are designed for children who need to learn the essential swimming skills of water survival before moving on to independent swimming and refining technique. These are “Baby & Me” style classes. Ages range from 6 months to 3 years. These classes are a max of 3 swimmers.

PREREQUISITE: Swimmer is at least six months old and an adult must accompany the swimmer in the water
Beginner Station
Swim Classes
For Levels 1 & 2, we focus on becoming more comfortable in the water, learning the proper way to position the body while swimming, increasing the distance one can swim, and breathing effectively while swimming.
PREREQUISITE: Swimmer can kick back to the wall independently after being thrown in the pool

Intermediate Station Swim Class
At this swim station, swimmers are learn freestyle and backstroke techniques. The intermediate level will introduce the concepts of each skill and offer exercises to develop muscles and practice technique.
PREREQUISITE: Swimmer can breathe independently with at least two consecutive breaths. They are a level 3 or 4 swimmer.

Advanced Station Swim Classes
The advanced station is especially effective for pre-competition lessons, training the swimmer in the breaststroke, the butterfly, cardio swimming, treading water, flip turns, timed swimming, and intense exercises to hone these techniques. These swimmers are levels 5 or 6.
PREREQUISITES: Swimmer can do freestyle arms; can roll onto back and kick; can position face in water and roll onto back, then breathe; can start in floating position on back and kick continuously
